What happened

E.A. Sween Co. is recalling Market Sandwich Artisan Style Albacore Tuna Salad on Dark Wheat Bread because some packages may contain Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause food poisoning. This is a serious recall affecting about 331,000 sandwiches distributed nationwide.

Who is at risk

Everyone can get sick from Listeria, but pregnant women, young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems are at highest risk for severe illness.

What to do

Do not eat this product if you have it at home—throw it away or return it to the store. If you've already eaten one of these sandwiches and develop symptoms like fever, muscle aches, or digestive issues within the next few weeks, contact your doctor and mention the recall.
