What happened

Treehouse Foods is recalling Kodiak Cakes Original Mini Griddle Waffles (8/9.88 oz boxes) because they may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause foodborne illness. This recall affects products sold nationwide in the USA and Canada.

Who is at risk

While anyone can get sick from Listeria, pregnant women, young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for serious illness.

What to do

Check your freezer for the recalled product (UPC 705599017148) and discard it or return it to the store. If you've eaten these waffles and develop symptoms like fever, chills, muscle aches, or nausea, contact your doctor.
