What happened

Goya Adobo All Purpose Seasoning with Cumin (28 oz bottles) has been recalled because testing found Salmonella bacteria in the product and at the manufacturing facility. This is a serious safety issue, which is why the FDA classified it as a Class I recall.

Who is at risk

Anyone who consumes this product could potentially get sick, but children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk of serious illness from Salmonella.

What to do

If you purchased this product, do not use it and throw it away or return it to the store. The recall only affects bottles distributed in Puerto Rico. Wash your hands and any surfaces that may have contacted the seasoning.
