What happened

Asher's Chocolate Co. is recalling 4-pound bags of White Confectionery Coating Macadamia Paw candy because they may be contaminated with Salmonella, a bacteria that can cause foodborne illness. This is a serious recall (Class I), though only 78 units were affected.

Who is at risk

Anyone who consumed this product could potentially get sick, particularly children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems who are more vulnerable to severe Salmonella infections.
