What happened

Asher's Chocolates is recalling two types of chocolate-covered apricots because they may be contaminated with Salmonella bacteria. The recall affects 5-pound boxes of their Dark Chocolate Half Dipped Glace Apricots and Dark Chocolate Goodies Apricots sold across most U.S. states.

Who is at risk

Anyone who consumes these products could get sick, though young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems are at higher risk for serious illness from Salmonella.

What to do

Check your pantry for these products and do not eat them. If you have either of the recalled items, throw them away or return them to the store where you purchased them. Contact your doctor if you experience symptoms like diarrhea, fever, or abdominal cramps.
