What happened

Garden-Fresh Foods is recalling their 5-lb Deviled Egg Salad because it contains onions that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious illness. The onions were supplied by Gills Onions, which issued its own recall for the same contamination concern.

Who is at risk

Everyone should avoid this product, but pregnant women, older adults, young children, and people with weakened immune systems face the highest risk of serious illness from Listeria.

What to do

Do not eat this product if you have it at home. Check your refrigerator for Garden-Fresh Deviled Egg Salad with the UPC code 0 11596 521220 and discard it or return it to the store. If you consumed this product and develop fever, muscle aches, or other flu-like symptoms, contact your doctor.
