What happened

Garden-Fresh Foods is recalling Dairy Fresh Baked Potato Salad because it contains onions that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a harmful bacteria. The onions came from a supplier, Gills Onions, that issued its own recall for the same contamination concern.

Who is at risk

This is most serious for pregnant women, newborns, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems, though anyone can get sick from Listeria.

What to do

If you purchased this product, do not eat it—throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it. Watch for symptoms like fever, muscle aches, or nausea and contact your doctor if you develop these symptoms after eating the recalled product.
