Oscar's Smoke House is recalling their Garlic Cheddar Spread (7 oz size) because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause illness. The affected product was sold nationwide online and in New York retail stores.

Who is at risk

Everyone should be concerned, but pregnant women, young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems face the most serious health risks from Listeria.

What to do

If you purchased this product, do not eat it. Either throw it away or return it to the store where you bought it. Check your refrigerator for the product and look for the Oscar's Smoke House label with the 7 oz net weight on refrigerated spreads.
