What happened

Oscar's Smoke House recalled their More Than Cheddar Spread (7 oz size) because it may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause foodborne illness. The product was sold nationwide through internet mail order and in New York retail stores.

Who is at risk

Everyone who consumed this product could be at risk, but pregnant women, young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems are most vulnerable to serious illness from Listeria.

What to do
