What happened

Canteen Inc. recalled 379 FRESH TO YOU Deluxe Triple Decker Club sandwiches because harmful bacteria called Listeria monocytogenes was found on one of their meat slicers during testing. The sandwiches were sold in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and West Virginia.

Who is at risk

While anyone who ate the sandwich could potentially get sick, people who are pregnant, elderly, very young, or have weakened immune systems face the highest risk of serious illness from Listeria.

What to do

If you bought this sandwich (UPC MGF9719), do not eat it—throw it away or return it to the store. Contact your doctor if you develop symptoms like fever, muscle aches, nausea, or diarrhea within the next few weeks.
