What happened

MG Foods recalled 37 turkey and swiss croissant sandwiches because bacteria called Listeria monocytogenes was found on one of their meat slicing machines during routine testing. No illnesses have been reported so far.

Who is at risk

While anyone could potentially be affected, pregnant women, young children, older adults, and people with weakened immune systems are at highest risk for serious illness from Listeria.

What to do

If you purchased this sandwich (UPC 1 00000 50011 8) in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, or West Virginia, do not eat it—throw it away or return it to the store. Contact your doctor if you develop symptoms like fever, muscle aches, or digestive issues within 2 weeks of eating it.
